Barre with FORMAT (first class free with promo SOUTHSHOREMOMS)

An event every week that begins at 9:15 am on Monday, repeating until March 29, 2021
A 60 minute, low impact, high intensity, total body workout. Recommended equipment: A mat, light hand weights, and a surface for a “barre” (think chair or countertop, don’t worry, we won’t be pulling on it)
FORMAT is here to change the way that you think about barre. Barre is a workout that we both love for it’s tangible physical results and mental health benefits; however we were disappointed in the way that it has been taught, marketed, and viewed by the fitness industry. So with a combined 17 years teaching experience we decided to change that.
We started by creating a barre class that is dynamic, athletically paced, and physically demanding. We added HIIT programming to make FORMAT a one stop shop for strength training and cardio conditioning. Low impact or high intensity, it’s all challenging, and most importantly fun.
Like the rest of the country (and world) our plans for FORMAT came to a grinding halt with the onset of COVID19. What would happen to the group fitness industry? How would we maintain the community that we were so used to being a part of every single day? We decided very quickly that virtual fitness was the future so we jumped on Zoom, built out a schedule, reached out to our former students via social media, and created an experience that is just as effective and fun as in-studio classes.
