Veterans Day is this weekend. You’ll find a number of events happening throughout the weekend. Grab the kiddos, support those who have served and enjoy these local ceremonies!

Duxbury Veterans Day Ceremony 2017 | Saturday, November 11th
The Duxbury American Legion Post 223 will be holding its annual Veterans Day celebration at the Post Hall at 5 West Street starting at 11am. The community is invited to attend.

Hingham Veterans Day Breakfast & Ceremony 2017 | Saturday, November 11th
The Hingham Veterans’ Council is pleased to announce the itinerary for this year’s Annual Veteran’s Day Observance, formerly called Armistice Day. Veterans’ Day 2017 will begin with the CPL Lawrence St. Laurent Breakfast at the Hingham Town Hall, in the Central Meeting Room (2nd Floor); from 08:30-10:00 a.m. This event is open to ALL Military, Veterans, and their families; sponsored by the Hingham Veterans’ Council, and catered by: Hart Brothers Catering of Rockland, MA. The main event will be the held in the Sanborn Auditorium at Town Hall, beginning promptly at 11 a.m. There will be reserved seating for ALL Military and Veterans. The event will be moderated by Michael Puzo, with music performed by Hingham High School Band. The principal speaker will be combat veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, Colonel Arthur Elbthal, U.S. Army. Following the indoor tribute to our Town’s Veterans there will be a wreath laying ceremony and Pledge of Allegiance at the Veterans Memorial outside Town Hall. Please make every effort to attend and show your support for our Nation’s Veterans.

Hull Veterans Day Ceremony 2017 | Saturday, November 11th
The Hull War Memorial Commission and the Hull VFW Richardson Post 1787 cordially invite all World War II Veterans living in Hull to the Veterans Day Memorial observance at the Hull War Memorial on November 11, 2016, 11:00 AM.

Marshfield Veterans Day Ceremony & Parade 2017 | Saturday, November 11th
Veteran’s Day Parade & Ceremony – parade starts promptly at 10:30AM, Ceremony starts promptly at 11AM. Parade marches out from Library Plaza. *In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the Furnace Brook Middle School at 11:00 and will be announced 3 days prior.

Plymouth Parade & Ceremony 2017 | Saturday, November 11th
The Department of Veterans’ Services and Plymouth’s Veterans Council wishes to extend an invitation for you to join us in our annual Veterans Day Parade, on Saturday November 11th. The parade will step off at 9:30AM from Hedge Rd. in North Plymouth.

Scituate Veterans Ceremony 2017 | Saturday, November 11th
The Scituate American Legion Post #144 will be honoring all of Scituate’s Veterans and a guest with their traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings. There will be a flag ceremony and a few words before the luncheon promptly at 11 am. The ceremony is to honor all Veterans who served and are currently serving honorably for this great Nation.
