How Local Police are Helping in the Fight Against Breast Cancer | South Shore Moms

During the month of October (breast cancer awareness month) you may notice local Police wearing a pink patch on their regular uniforms. They’re supporting the Pink Patch Project — a public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer, which we think is pretty awesome. And you can get involved and support, as well!

The Pink Patch Project was developed in Los Angeles by the LA County Police Chief Association and has made its way across the country to the South Shore!Ā The goal of the project is to increase awareness about the life-saving benefits of early detection and intervention in the fight against breast cancer.Ā Funds raised from the sale of #PinkPatchProject items go directly to the research, treatment and education needed to help find a cure for breast cancer. Each public safety agency has chosen a cancer research organization or support group in their respective communities to donate to.

See below for a list of participating agencies in and around the South Shore and find out where you can get your very own pink patch!Ā Share a picture of your pink patch on social media using #PinkPatchProject
