It’s that time of year again…. flu season and everyone is starting to come down with something or other. Ugh! These are some of my favorite yummy (kid-approved) juice blends that boost your immune system so you can (hopefully) avoid getting sick. Try these immunity juices from Tasty.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups orange juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 1 cup leafy green, of choice, optional
- ½ cucumber, sliced
- 1 small apple, sliced
Preparation
- Combine orange juice, spinach, and other leafy greens into a blender and blend until consistency is smooth.
- Add cucumber and apple. Blend until smooth.
- Pour into a glass and serve right away, or chill in refrigerator, if preferred
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 1 cup greek yogurt
- 1 ½ cups frozen strawberry
- 1 ½ cups frozen blueberry
Preparation
- Combine milk, yogurt, and frozen fruit into a blender and mix until consistency is smooth.
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1 lemon
- 1 piece ginger, 2-3 inch (5-7 cm)
- 2 teaspoons honey, or preferred sweetener
Preparation
- Bring water to a boil and remove from heat.
- Cut lemon and ginger into thin slices. Add to the hot water.
- Steep for 5-10 minutes.
- Strain and pour tea into mug.
- Add honey, stir, and serve.

- 4 cups water
- 1 lemon
- 1 piece ginger, 2-3 inch (5-7 cm)
- 2 teaspoons honey, or preferred sweetener
Preparation
- Add the tomatoes, carrot, celery, red bell pepper, salt, pepper, garlic, and water to a large pot and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
- Remove from heat, let cool for 10 minutes.
- Add mixture to a blender and add in the parsley. Blend until consistency is smooth.
- Serve chilled.
