I am so excited for this weeks “Meet a Mom Monday” feature with Ashley Campia of Ashley Campia Photography.
Ashley is a supermom to three daughters and an accomplished business owner. She and her family have been residents of Weymouth for three years. Ashley launched her photography business in 2023 with a few mini sessions, and since then her business has taken off!
Ashley firmly believes that no moment is too small to document. She specializes in lifestyle photography, focusing on authenticity and connection for all sessions—from high school seniors and newly engaged couples to families. Her goal is for everyone to have fun and feel truly seen during their time with her.
Like any mother running a small business, Ashley shares some valuable advice regarding work-life balance and the importance of not comparing yourself to others.

Where are you from originally?
I grew up in Hyde Park, a neighborhood in Boston and lived there most of my life! I moved to Wareham in 2017 with my husband, where we raised our girls for a few years.
Tell us about your family! How many kids, names/ages?
I have 3 daughters! Bella is 12 – she’s my cheerleader. Caroline is 6, my little bookworm and Alice is 4, she’s our wild child. They inspire me in so many ways and they keep me very busy!
How did you start your business?
I’ve been passionate about photography since high school but never considered a career in it until I knew I was done having children. In 2023, I finally felt like I was at a time in my life where I could commit to starting a business – I started off with a few mini sessions and over 2 years my business has grown more than I imagined!
Where do you now call home and how long have you lived there?
We moved to Weymouth about 3 years ago. We LOVE our neighborhood and the sense of community here.
What is your favorite part about living on the South Shore?
Definitely all of the small businesses. There is such an uplifting sense of comradery and support.
What family activity do you enjoy most?
We LOVE being outside. The beach and camping are our two favorite things. We love camping in the White Mountains the most.
What is your favorite part about the work you do?
I love bearing witness to the genuine love and connection between my clients and as a former preschool teacher, I LOVE getting to interact with the younger kiddos, conversations with them are the best!
What do you find to be the toughest part about being a working mom?
Balance. It can be very difficult prioritizing business tasks and mom tasks while also spending quality time with three kids. It can feel like there isn’t enough time in the day and oftentimes it feels like pouring from an empty cup.
What is the best advice you have received as a mom?
Be a mom first and a friend second. My favorite teacher in high school gave me that piece of advice and as my oldest reaches her teen years, I really resonate with it now.
What is your best advice for a new mom?
Do NOT compare yourself to others. It is so easy to be discouraged by the highlight reels of social media – remember to trust your heart and do what is best for YOU and your family. Form your own beliefs and opinions and know that that is enough!
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
I LOVE getting tattoos but I am terrified of needles at the doctor’s. A nurse needs to hold my hand if I get blood drawn, it makes no sense hahaha!
Is there a Quote or mantra you live by?
“Onward”. I have it tattooed on my wrist. It just reminds me that we can’t go backward, can’t change the past and there’s always something better ahead.
Your go-to Pandora/Spotify/Apple Music station?
Taylor Swift and Noah Kahan are my favorites! Guardians of the Galaxy Pandora station is full of absolute bangers though – I love that one if we’re at the beach or playing outside.
Your favorite local spot for: date night, coffee break, workout, new outfit, self-care, “me
time”
time”
I LOVE Revive in Weymouth, the peanut butter cup smoothie is the best.
Trio Spa in Norwell is the BEST for eyebrows and facials.
On any given day, you could find me with a Starbucks walking through a TjMaxx though LOL!
Anything else you’d love to share?
I’m so grateful for this opportunity and grateful to be a part of the South Shore community. I’m looking forward to connecting with new clients and new small businesses too!
