Hello, TSSM! It’s been a little while since our last Meet A Mom feature, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for today’s interview! I am delighted to introduce you to Annie Hanson, the newest addition to The South Shore Moms team. Annie is a local mom who is frequently spotted around the South Shore with her beautiful children. She is eager to bring you all the local content you need to make the most of your day! Get to know more about her in our interview below.
Where are you from originally?
I am originally from West Hartford, CT. I came to Boston to attend Wheelock College and have been in Massachusetts ever since!
Tell us about your family! How many kids, names/ages?
I have two kids; Brayden is four and Shay is seven almost eight months. We also have a French Bulldog named Daisy who is eight years old.
Where do you now call home and how long have you lived there?
Abington is currently our home and we have been here for eight years!
What is your favorite part about living in the South Shore?
My favorite part about living in the South Shore is the community, especially the groups of moms that I have met while out and about. I also love how much there is to do around here, I am excited to dive in and share some of my favorite spots and some of my kiddo’s favorites with all of you.
What family activity do you enjoy most?
As a family, we love to be outside whether it be going to be the beach or taking our pup for a walk.
What is the best advice you have received as a mom?
Don’t be too hard on yourself, you are doing your absolute best day in and day out!
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
Our house recently went through renovation last summer which was featured on HGTV’s show “Fix My Frankenhouse”. It was quite the experience for all of us, especially for me being six months pregnant!
Your favorite local spot for: date night, coffee break, workout, new outfit, self-care, “me time”?
I am a huge fan of BTone Fitness in Hanover, you can catch me in the 6am classes before the day gets too crazy. I have also recently discovered DeluxeBar in Norwell, which is a great spot for some self-care and a few moments of quiet.
Anything else you’d love to share?
I was teacher for over seven years before becoming a Recruiter. Most recently, I worked at South Shore Stars, an amazing non-profit in Weymouth and specifically recruited teachers.
Welcome to the team, Annie! We are so happy to have you! -Kara
