This week’s “Meet a Mom Monday” features the fabulous Meghan Jones, Founder and Owner of Clarabelle Designs.
Originally from Franklin, MA, Meghan lived in New York City and Boston before settling in Duxbury with her family in 2022. After earning her certificate from The New York School of Interior Design in 2020, Meghan poured herself into designing her new-build home, curating every detail as it came to life. She continued refining her skills by designing for family and friends before officially launching Clarabelle Designs last year.
Based in Duxbury, Clarabelle Designs serves residential and commercial clients across the South Shore and Greater Boston area. Meghan specializes in creating interior and exterior spaces that reflect your lifestyle and purpose. Her signature style is elevated New England spaces layered with European influence, intentionally blending bold patterns and colors to create relaxed, intimate environments.
Beyond her design work, Meghan’s proudest role is being a mother of four children, all ages five and under, and two beloved dogs. To say her plate is full is an understatement! She intimately understands how families live and believes an elevated home does not have to come at the expense of practicality.

Where are you from originally?
Hi, I’m Meghan—founder of Clarabelle Designs. I grew up in Franklin,Massachusetts, spending time on the South Shore visiting family, and ultimately married a South Shore native. We lived in New York City and Boston before settling in the South Shore.
Tell us about your family! How many kids, names/ages?
Today, I’m a mother of four—Teddy (5), Annabelle (3.5), Bennett (2), and our newest addition, Clara—along with our two beloved dogs, Lily and Charlie. Our home is lively, well-loved, and constantly evolving, which deeply informs how I design: spaces that are both beautiful and truly lived in.
How did you start your business?
As a mom, I’m always noticing what my children are naturally drawn to and how heir talents unfold. My own gift has always been design. I’ve built a rewarding career in financial services, channeling my eye for detail and patterns into analytical work, but the nudge to nurture my creative side never left. That pull eventually led me to the New York School of Interior Design, where I earned my certificate in 2020. Soon after, I immersed myself in designing our home from the ground up— a project that reminded me how deeply our surroundings shape our daily lives. Your home is the backdrop to the beginning and end of each day. I continued to hone my skills through work with friends and family and formally launched an LLC and started taking clients last year.
Where do you now call home and how long have you lived there?
We moved to Duxbury in 2022 and feel incredibly grateful to be raising our family in such a special coastal community.
What family activity do you enjoy most?
Our favorite family activity—and what drew us to this town—is Duxbury Beach. It’s a special kind of childhood: growing up in a place where you can drive onto the sand and always seem to run into friends.

What is your favorite part about the work you do?
The most gratifying part of this work is witnessing the joy it brings to my clients. A space that balances function, beauty, and personal meaning reshapes how your day begins, and when you start from a place of positivity it ripples through everything that follows. It’s deeply fulfilling to know that what feels intuitive to me can so meaningfully enhance the way clients live. My ethos is simple: clarity comes through beauty.
Clarabelle is derived from two oots: “Clara,” from the Latin clarus, meaning clear, bright, and refined, and “Belle,” from the French word for beautiful, lovely, and graceful. Together, they form a meaning that perfectly captures the heart of the brand.
Are you involved with any non-profits or do any volunteering?
I’ve been a board member of Duxbury Newcomers & Neighbors in several capacities, this year on the Ladies’ Night Out committee. We curate varied experiences that bring the community together while highlighting many wonderful businesses in Duxbury and surrounding South Shore towns.
What is the best advice you have received as a mom?
Some days everything feels urgent—but it’s not. We’re all juggling glass balls and rubber balls. The glass ones— your children, your health, your peace—if dropped, they crack. The rubber ones— laundry, dishes, the inbox—they bounce. Protect what matters most and let the rest bounce.

What is your best advice for a new mom?
Everything is temporary, which can feel both reassuring and heartbreaking. The fussy phases, the sleepless nights—they will pass. But so will the innocence of these early years. I’m in the thick of it, with plenty of days that don’t feel easy to “just enjoy,” yet the thought of sending my oldest off to kindergarten next year makes me nostalgic for his earlier years. And for the record, since everyone asks, I still think the transition from 0 to 1 was harder than 1 to 2, 2 to 3, or 3 to 4!
Is there a Quote or mantra you live by?
“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do” —Rumi A reminder of the importance of living authentically, allowing what you’re naturally drawn to guide how you spend your time and energy.
