Making the decision to send your child to camp can be so exciting for everyone in the family. And with so many wonderful camps to chose from, it can also be overwhelming. “‘The Dalby Farm Experience’: Exploring Farm Animals” is an interactive summer learning program for children entering K-2nd grade, MWF 9am-1pm. Their small family operated, educational rare breeds farm in Scituate MA, provides an ideal environment for children to learn about farm animals and their habitats, via stories, hands-on activities and crafts. Each day is themed differently so a child can attend both sessions without redundant material. Being on a farm, the children are able to explore them through their senses. They will hear the rooster crow, feel the softness of sheep’s wool and see the rich color and beauty of a chicken’s feather. Space is limited, register here!

Summer Arts is a five-week multi-arts program for students ages 8 to 15. Students pick their own classes from a wide range of choices which include offerings in the visual and performing arts, sports, STEAM, media, writing, dance, textiles, and more. Students pick their classes; everything is by choice! Each camper has a unique, individualized schedule which includes five classes a day, lunch, a performance showcasing works in progress, and a daily free choice period. Summer Arts staff are experts in their fields with a passion for working with children and sharing their crafts. The Derby Academy campus is an idyllic summer setting for creativity, exploration, growth, friendships and fun!
The 5 week program runs from June 27 to July 29. Campers can also come for just the first 2 weeks (June 27 – July 8) or the last 3 weeks (July 11 – July 29). Extended day is available till 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday. Pricing is as follows:

Edge on Science is a place where your child explores applied science and engineering. Individual and team projects make it a hands-on experience! Your child can choose from ten different topics and 43 week-long, day sessions. Programs are geared for 3rd through 12th graders. Edge on Science Camp features a project-based immersive experience where campers learn to use tools, drawings, computer applications and scientific instruments. They will also experience the practice of presenting and communicating ideas! Small groups (child to instructor & assistant ratio of 7:1 or less) are lead by engineers, scientists and/or scholars.
Here are some of the AMAZING activities they can experience:
- Build a bridge.
- Design, model, simulate, build, test and fly a model rocket.
- Understand basic optics and then assemble a refractor telescope.
- Learn to observe and record your observations.
- Code and fly that code with a drone.
- Learn about 3D printers, design objects, prepare them, print them and assess the results.
- Team build a catapult and then use it outside to hit a mock castle wall.
- Collect and prepare samples for viewing under a microscope.
- Envision hydraulic machines and then build them in a makerspace.
- Tinker with water rockets and discover the right mix of water volume, air volume and air pressure.
- Communicate your ideas on paper.
- Share and present your findings to the other children.
- Showcase your accomplishments at the end of the week to family and friends!
- Engage in games and challenges that reinforce concepts learned, all while having fun.
- Embrace safety, quality control and ethics.

For kids who like to spend all summer in the water, learn to surf at Northeast Surfing Academy! This an education based National Surf Schools and Instructors Association Surf Academy located on Nantasket Beach in Hull, Massachusetts. They focus on building inner self confidence for children and at the same time teaching them respect for the environment, while experiencing the thrill of surfing. Accredited by the National Surf Schools and Instructors Association, NSSIA Certified Lifeguard Surf Instructors, Red Cross CPR – First Aid Trained, State CORI and SORI checked, State Permitted, Insure. Nature Adventures Camp
At Y Nature Adventures Camp, campers develop an awareness, appreciation, and concern for our environment as they explore the habits and habitats of animals living in our woods, ponds, meadows, and along the shore. Camp Quirk
South Shore YMCA Camp Quirk is our traditional Y summer day camp for campers ages 4-12. Located at Quincy YMCA and Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, their extensive variety of programs provides an inclusive summer adventure for everyone. Inly Summer
Summer at Inly offers 10 weeks of programs that invite children to explore the outdoors, express themselves creatively, and keep their bodies moving all summer long. Parents can choose as many one-week sessions as they like, between June 21 and August 26.
Summer at Inly sessions begin June 21 and run through August 26; most are one-week sessions. The camp day is 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, with an early dismissal option of 1:00 pm for preschoolers. Extended day is available beginning at 7:30 am until 5:00 pm.
