Strawberry Festival

Strawberry Season is the time to celebrate this local jewel of a berry. Enjoy Strawberry Shortcakes made by Ward’s Berry Farm under the events tent that was donated by BELD. Our local growers will have strawberries for you to purchase and take home. Food vendors will have strawberry treats that are ready to enjoy. Summer begins!

Farmer’s Market

From Cohasset, to Weymouth to Marshfield there are ton’s of farmer’s markets this weekend and recurring on our calendar that make a fun day out, and the perfect place to shop with your favorite local vendors and pick of some local grown produce!

Hanover Day: Carnival and Battle of the Bands

Summertime means fireworks, carnival’s and live music! Head over to Sylvester Field for all three, and a great day of family fun for all ages!

Summer at Inly Session 1: June 24–28

Preschool Adventures: Dinosaur Days  (Ages 3–5)
Calling all archaeologists! Let’s travel back in time, discover dinosaur bones, explore fossils, and recreate a dinosaur scene in the great outdoors!  Our days will also be filled with digging for gems and discovering the magic of crystals!
 
Animals on the Move  (K–2nd Grade)
Campers will observe animals big and small to learn how they move and survive in their habitat. Exploring the trails, creating artwork, singing and dancing will all be part of everyday activities. Campers will get up close and personal with visiting critters in motion!
 
Let’s Put on a Show!  (K–3rd Grade)
Campers will explore the world of musical theatre from set painting to choreography, theatre games, acting and singing. They will finish the week with a performance showcasing all they have learned.
 
Forensic Science  (Grades 4–6)
Spend a week as a member of the CSInly team! We will become forensic detectives by using real science to solve a whodunit. Campers will dust for fingerprints, study fibers, and use chemistry to solve the case.

Summer Smoothie

Summer is here! With the season of heat upon us, we are always looking for new ways to cool off. While ice cream is a delicious option, it isn’t necessarily the healthiest choice. Fresh fruit smoothies are just as delicious a way to cool off and supply loads of important nutrients and fruits for you this summer! TSSM goes crazy for smoothies this time of year! Here’s a recipe for a yummy treat courtesy of Love and Lemon’s

Ingredients

2 cups frozen strawberries, plus 2 fresh strawberries, sliced for garnish

Small handful of fresh spinach

1 tablespoon chia seeds

3 soft medjool dates

2 tablespoons peanut or almond butter

2 to 3 tablespoons 365 Everyday Value® Pea Protein

1¼ cups almond milk, more as needed to blend

optional garnishes: sliced strawberry, drizzle of peanut butter, chia seeds

Oat Flour Strawberry Shortcakes

Ingredients

You’ll need (for the strawberry filling and whipped topping) …

8 biscuits

~15 strawberries, local/organic (it’s strawberry season!)

4 Tbsp raw, local honey, plus more sweetness preference

1/8 c filtered water’

For the whipped cream (*several options) …

1 can of cold coconut whipping cream (make sure it’s in the fridge for several hours to allow the cream to solidify on the top), or

1 c SCD french cream, or

1 c heavy whipping cream for a dairy version

2 Tbsp honey

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

BBQ Foil Packs

Ingredients

You’ll need …

1 large zucchini, chopped

1 large onion, chopped

1 cup of green beans, chopped

3 large carrots, chopped

2 sweet potatoes, chopped

1 c mushrooms, chopped

1 uncooked corn on the cob (cut into 4 pieces)

Protein of choice: 20 pieces of shrimp or kielbasa or both!

8 garlic cloves

4 lemon slices

For the Sauce

1/8 c Tamari

1/8 c avocado oil

1/2 lemon juice

1 heaping Tbsp miso (refrigerated kind)

1 Tbsp honey

salt and pepper to taste
