Around the Web

The news has been hard to watch lately. We have also had a few scary happenings and headlines on the South Shore as of late. We rounded up some helpful links for you if you are struggling to find the right words to talk to your kids about violence, tragedy, and difficult news.

  • This article from the Today Show shares an age-by-age guide on how to talk to your kids about tragedies
  • The Child Development Institute has a great resource for parents on how to talk to kids about violence.
  • The APA is a wonderful resource as well and shares ideas on how to guide a conversation when talking to children about difficult news.

Read these, share your thoughts with us, and then squeeze your children a little tighter.
